How to upgrade Computer RAM?

RAM or Random Access Memory is the working memory of a computer. This determines the speed at which a computer operates. The fuller it gets, the more sluggish the computer becomes. The best way to avoid slow and frustrating computers is to upgrade the RAM. This is also the most cost effective way to increase the speed of the computer.

SYSTEM HACKING

Steps to follow to do the upgrade:
Step One.
Turn off the computer.  Unplug it and cut off all electric supply to the computer.
Step Two.
All peripheral cables also need to be disconnected.
Step Three.
Remove the cover of the computer and position it in such a way that you can comfortably reach into the interior.
Step Four.
Attach the antistatic wristband. This is very important as even the most minimal of static can destroy the computer’s fragile areas.
Step Five.
Locate and remove the existing RAM chips.  Be careful to gently push down the clips on the side socket and once the module comes up, you can remove it easily.
Step Six.
Check your motherboard’s documentation to see if you have to place the new chips as single pieces or as double pieces.
Step Seven.
Now place the new RAM chips in the vacant slots. Be sure to seat the chips properly. There are notches on the chips which correspond to raised notches in the memory slots. Orient the chips according to the notches and seat them properly.
Step Eight.
Once seated properly, the locking tabs at each end of the slot will snap into position against the RAM chips.
Step Nine.
Gently press towards the end of the RAM module to ensure proper seating of the chips.
Step Ten.
Now reassemble your Computer and attach all power connections.
Step Eleven.
Turn on the computer and check the speed with which the new RAM operates the computer.
Step Twelve.
If the system does not recognize the new RAM, enter the CMOS set up program and check if the machine recognizes the new memory. (This is normally done by pressing the F1 or the Del buttons). If the new RAM is not recognized, then you have to repeat the entire process and this time check if the RAM is seated properly.
Upgrading the RAM allows you to use new operating systems and also improves the whole computing experience.

How to remove a computer virus?

A computer virus is a program that operates on your computer without any permission. It has the capacity to copy itself and infect the computer without the owner’s knowledge. Once a virus enters a computer, it has the capacity to corrupt and delete files and data, send itself out through the email lists to other users and spread like a wildfire. It even has the ability to totally erase the hard drive of a system leading to total system failure. It is essential to remove the virus before it can do great deals of damage.

SYSTEM HACKING

Steps to follow to remove virus from computers
Step One.
Run a virus scanner that is available free on the internet. While some viruses can circumvent these scanners, some can be removed with them.
Step Two.
Update your virus definitions and antivirus programs. This can be done by visiting the programs website and downloading the latest antivirus settings.
Step Three.
Run a scan with the antivirus program. This is going to take some time and it is best if you leave your computer until the scan is done.
Step Four.
If you know which virus has infected the computer and which files are the infected ones, then run a specialized scan for that virus.
Step Five.
Run a full scan to detect other viruses.
Step Six.
The antivirus will automatically remove the viruses with very little interaction from you.  Once the scan is complete, run it again as some viruses go undetected on the first run.
Step Seven.
Run your malware scanners to detect any unsafe references and remove them.
Step Eight.
If you find any viruses still lurking then it is advisable to switch off the computer, remove the HDD/SDD from the computer and run it on another computer that has malware bytes installed.
Step Nine.
Do not run the HDD. Instead click the right click button and choose the “scan with Malware bytes” option.
Step Ten.
Once that scan is done and you are sure of the HDD being sanitized, replace in your computer.
Step Eleven.
Reboot your computer and check if all viruses have been removed by choosing a quick scan.
Step Twelve.
Once this scan is complete, check if a list of infected files comes up.
Step Thirteen.
If the antivirus has done its job, the files will be clean and any harmful viruses would have been quarantined.
Step Fourteen.
Enjoy your virus free computer.
With developing operating systems and networking sites on the rise, malicious intent is also on the up. Keeping your information centers virus free is the best way you can work efficiently.
