What is BIOS(Basic input/output System)

BIOS is the program a personal computer's microprocessor uses to get the computer system started after you turn it on.It also manages data flow between the computer's operating system and attached devices such as the hard disk, video adapter, keyboard, mouse and printer.

Laptops in general have much better hardware security than PC's.Some of them even come with finger print reader build in.
      Most laptops come with a very strong  BIOS password capability that locks up the hardware and makes the laptop completely unusable.This is the password that has to be entered before the operating system loads,usually on a black or blue screen a few seconds after the laptop is started.


 How to Enable BIOS Password

1.Depending on the brand of motherboard/Desktop/Laptop.There would be different BIOS like American Megatrends (AMI) BIOS,Phoenix BIOS or any other. Boot your system and in BIOS setup. Well you may need to press F2,F8,f12 or Delete button depending on manufacturer to enter in BIOS.

2.If you have entered in BIOS,look for Security tab.Press tab to go to Security tab.Here you will find Enter Password/Setup BIOS Password/Enter Admin Password/Enter Supervisor Password or so. Type the password and save. Now whenever you enter in BIOS setup,it would require to enter password.

How to Bypass or Remove a BIOS Password


By Removing the CMOS Battery:-


The simplest way to remove a BIOS password is to simply Remove the CMOS Battery of the Laptop's.A System will remember its setting and keep the time even it has turn off because these parts are powered by small Battery inside the System Known as CMOS Battery.If we pull out this Battery,the System will forget all of its settings and its BIOS password.
Open the Laptop's backside with a screw driver.You see a circular and metallic CMOS Battery.It look something like the picture.

When you have located and observe how the holding it.You can remove the CMOS Battery with screw driver. Unplug the  all power cables and USB devices. The System must  not be able to get power.Put out the CMOS Battery for 10 to 30 minutes.Because the System can still store power in there capacitors.In this time period all capacitors will discharge.
     But sometimes this trick not working due to strong BIOS Password. So we try some another method.
 
USING SOFTWARE:-

1. !BIOS:-
                    !BIOS is a tool originally  developed for removal of passwords from BIOSes. !BIOS can decrypt the passwords used in some most common BIOS including various versions by IBM, American Megatrends Inc, Award and Phoenix.It has ability to Brute force the passwords known as blasters.
   Now Download !BIOS from here and save it on your desktop.

Step 1.
Open command prompt.Go to
Start> Run> and type: cmd
 
Step 2.
you see a black screen, type: cd desktop
 
Step 3.
Now type the name of downloaded file.By default its name like this "BIOS320.exe".
Select that file and select motherboard which has you using then press Enter.

Step 4.
You see a menu asking what you want to crack ,Supervisor Password or System Password.
So you press 1 then Enter.

Step 5.
It will then show one more  menu asking how you want to be crack.
Option 1 is very good so press it.
NOW YOU HAVE YOUR BIOS PASSWORD.

So Reboot your System.enter  the BIOS Password and try it now.
  This method is dangerous and can show some unexpected and unwanted result. Some antivirus may report as a virus or trojan. Use it carefully.
